6 Reasons Why Your Business Needs A Website Right Now

Websites work, plain and simple as that. People (your customers) are using the web to search for products or services they desire in greater numbers year by year. If someone requires a plumber they do not get the good old yellow pages out and look for a local plumber like they used to, what they do is get out their phone, go to google and search for a local plumber then go to the plumbers website, if the plumbers website looks professional and it has all the right information they are looking for, they will either fill out a contact form or call the plumber to arrange a quote or to find out more information on the services they have to offer.

So from what you have just read, you can see that having a website is super important in this digital age. Below are the top 6 reasons I believe every business needs a website.

1 – 97% of consumers go online to find and research local businesses

Google gets 3.5 billion searches per day, yeah 3.5 billion, so you can bet that people in your local area are searching for your product or services, probably right now and if you don’t have a website, How are they going to find you?

2 – Customers will not consider your business if it doesn’t have a website

Right now customers expect a business to have a website, professionally designed website if they don’t have a website they will see the business has been less professional, even worse if the business does have a website but it is badly designed and hard to navigate they will not engage with the business.

3 – Educates customers about your business

A website can help persuade a customer to take out one of your services or to purchase a product. You can build up trust with the customer and they can get to know and like your business, which are key components to a customer using your business in the future.

4 – 24/7 365 days a year sales tool for your business

An employee can get sick, take holidays or just basically can’t be arsed to put the effort in to sell your product or services. With a website it’s always live and never lets you down, it doesn’t need a break and is always ready when your customers are, I mean it can even sell you services or products when you are asleep and who wouldn’t want that, right?

5 – It provides a medium to showcase your awesome work

It doesn’t matter what business you have a website is a great place to showcase your work or products. People love pictures and will happily scroll through your previous work or product pictures, this helps  build up trust and credibility with the customer and even helps them imagine what it could be like if they took out your service or purchased your product

6 – You own and control your website

I will admit social media is great for your business and you should have a Facebook, Instagram page, etc but nothing beats having your own place on the internet that you own and control. Social media websites can come and go, they control how many people your post will reach, how your profile looks if they will start to charge for business pages and the list goes on. With a website you control how it looks and what information is put on there, you are the boss and what you say goes.

7 – Why wouldn’t you have a website?  (bonus reason why not)

Let’s get real why wouldn’t you have one? Seriously what is stopping you from having an awesome customer generating website? After what you have just read its clear to see the benefits of having a website, in this digital age your business needs a website, I can guarantee your business will get left behind if you don’t have one. The world is changing and your business needs to keep up to date with the time, you need to be able to adapt to the ever changing business landscape and stay ahead or you will get left behind, which I’m sure you don’t want to happen.
